SPRING is a Dutch organization with an international perspective. This is why it is just as important for us to present new work from all around the world – bringing fresh and not-obvious esthetics and artistic languages to inspire the Dutch artistic scene – as it is to continuously support the international development and visibility of (local) artists. Particularly in times when it is becoming increasingly difficult for choreographers and theatre makers to create shows, and, even more so, to develop their artistic skills and find a place in the market for themselves.
In the past years SPRING worked in longterm trajectories with artists such as Florentina Holzinger, Julian Hetzel, Dries Verhoeven, Jan Martens and Nicole Beutler – often accompanying them in transitioning from independent artists into structurally established companies.
Thanks to the multiannual support from funds like Ammodo and FPK, SPRING can be a (co)production partner of significance for a number of artists in The Netherlands and abroad. Our international coproduction model has been supported throughout the last years with a number of EU Culture Program consortia, including FIT Urban Heat, Second Cities, [DNA] and Moving Borders.
