Let yourself be swept away by movement: 10 unique dance performances, by artists from all over the world, during SPRING 2026. Whether you’re a die-hard dance enthusiast or simply curious about what contemporary dance has to offer, each of these performances offers its own unique perspective on the world in motion.
Dutch based artists route
For those who want to immerse more into current development of locally based artists. We recommend to visit our festival from May 20 til May 23, because you will be able to see new creations of makers from Utrecht and The Netherlands. We have listed them for you in this item.

AECFest, a festival-within-a-festival
SPRING Performing Arts Festival is joining forces with the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) for the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival (AECFest) during SPRING 2026. This collaboration underlines the shared ambition to strengthen artistic exchange and creative dialogue between Asia and Europe. Together, SPRING and ASEF invite the public to 12 different programme components. We have highlighted them in this newsitem.

10 Days of Dance, Theatre and More

SPRING Performing Arts Festival is a ten-day international festival with innovative dance, theatre, performance and more in the city of Utrecht. You will find SPRING in the theatres, at special locations and in public spaces. At the festival you will see more than 25 adventurous and urgent performances from both near and far that dare to ask questions about the state of the world.
